ColorMeGroovy is a brand born from a vibrant blend of resilience, artistry, and the belief in a balanced, colorful life. Founded by DeAnna Henninger, a female, service-disabled veteran and seasoned Information Security professional, ColorMeGroovy is more than just an apparel brand—it’s a passion
project that celebrates creativity, self-expression, and the love for art that you can take with you wherever you go.

Our founder spent years thriving in the intense world of corporate life, finding pride in her work but feeling the toll of long hours on her creative passions. Searching for balance and fulfillment outside her professional life, she took up acrylic pour painting five years ago. Inspired
by the mesmerizing techniques she discovered online, she immersed herself in a new world of color and form. While her early work often missed the mark, persistence and countless hours led to a style uniquely her own—one that reflected the dynamic spirit of the 60s and 70s counterculture that so many adore.

With encouragement from her husband Craig, she began selling her paintings and prints. However, as many admirers pointed out, not
everyone has space for new wall art. This feedback sparked an idea: What if her artwork could live beyond the walls and become a part of people’s everyday lives? Having spent years in the apparel manufacturing and retail industry, she saw the potential to transform her creations into wearable art and a new North Carolina-based apparel brand.

transform original artwork into high-quality clothing and accessories, from groovy tees and cozy sweatshirts to vibrant totes and drinkware, capturing the soul of the 60s and 70s hippie culture. Each design is crafted from one of our founder's original acrylic pours, giving it a unique and authentic touch that’s as bold and expressive as our community.
